It is a nice feeling to come back as an employee in a place you graduated from.
I am a project based employee at the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) at the University of Jordan. It is the same eagerness which has driven me to pursue my Master’s degree in International Relations from the United Kingdom, the one that urged me to head for the CSS. The CSS is the Implementing partner of QARARUNA project; Co-funded by the European Union and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). The Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan (UJ) in 2017 approved the establishment of the Professional Diploma for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies in the CSS, making it a certified program from the UJ; this for me was a very unique opportunity, and I am happy to say that I am a graduate this year from this program.

‏What I also love about the CSS is that I am gaining knowledge on a daily basis; to meet and interact with the researchers in the center is crucial for broadening my horizons. The CSS also conducts studies in political, military, economic and social aspects of issues which emerge as a necessity for Jordan and the Arab world. All connected to the security of the region and on its future. I cannot be any happier to be in such a place which is contributing to build an integral and significant future for our people in the region.

Finally, I just want to highlight how I admire the University of Jordan and how every center in it is giving a contribution to the university and also to the country. I also love how it give chances to its students to go and study abroad for Masters or PHD, and then they come back to give back to the university. Generations passed through the gates of this huge campus, and whenever someone comes back to visit, they all have the same beautiful memories. As for me, I have this feeling every morning when I come to work! Thank you JU!
