UJ Student Team to Participate in International Programing Contest

A team of students from the University of Jordan (UJ) has qualified for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) after winning at the ACPC Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) in Sharm El-Sheikh on Sunday, December 1st.
 
The team, comprised of Obadah Al-Abbadi, Ziad Al-Najjar and Ihab Younis from the School of Engineering, won the bronze medal in the competition which has witnessed a wide participation from Arab and African universities.
 
The team's supervisor Dr. Fahd Jubair from the Department of Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering expressed pride in the achievement and for qualifying for the ICPC which will be held in Russia next year, stating that UJ will be represented for the first time in the international round.
