UJ Student Elected as President of IFMSA


UJ's medical student Batool Al Wahdani has been elected as President of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) for the year 2018/2019.
This came during the Federation's global forum which was held recently in Egypt and included about 900 students from more than 100 countries.
"It’s such an honor for me to have the opportunity to lead IFMSA" Al Wahdani said. "I look forward to cooperate with the next executive board and team in strengthening the foundation's presence and supporting its internal and external work," she added.
Before elected president, Al Wahdani was IFMSA's Vice President for External Affairs.
She represented IFMSA in ECOSOC Youth Forum 2018, which was held at the UN Headquarters in New York, from 30 to 31 January 2018.
Al Wahdani worked as president of IFMSA-Jo Jordan (2015-2016) before she was elected as the Liaison Officer to Student Organizations during the IFSMA 65th meeting in Mexico for the term 2016/2017.
