Al Hadidi Awarded Mahmoud Khalifah Ali Award 2018

 

University of Jordan (UJ) Professor of Toxicology and Chairperson of Jordan and West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (West Asia RADO), Kamal Al Hadidi, was awarded the Mahmoud Khalifah Ali Award of the Word Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the organization, locally and regionally.
 
Al Hadidi accepted the prestigious award during the 5th Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADO) Conference, held in Bangkok, Thailand from 10 to 11 April, in presence of representatives of 134 countries.
 
He currently serves as the Director of the Department of Laboratory and Forensic Medicine at the UJ Hospital. He is a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency Council, Montreal-Canada, and the Medical Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.
 
Al Hadidi attributed the achievement to the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, and member of the International Olympic Committee and the West Asian Anti-Doping Agency.
 
The UJ professor is the founder of the National Drug & Poison Information Center and the Toxicology laboratory at the UJ Hospital.
