Jordan Ranks 2nd in the Arab World in Higher Education

Jordan ranked 34th out of 131 countries and the second in the Arab world in Higher Education, according to the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) report/ 2017 which was recently released by the regional office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
 
The report was launched during the Knowledge Forum held under the patronage of the Minister of Education Dr. Omar Al Razzaz in Amman on 22 April 2018.
 
The forum brought together representatives from different ministries, ambassadors, journalists, researchers, academics, students, and the private sectors.
 
The report, launched by (UNDP) in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, concluded that Jordan ranked 5th in economy and information and communication technology (ICT) sectors in the Arab World.
 
The GKI is composed of six sectoral indices: Pre-University Education; Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET); Higher Education; Research, Development and Innovation (RDI); Information and Communications Technology (ICT); and Economy; in addition to a seventh supporting index on the General Enabling Environment.
