From June 28th till July 5th, the University of Jordan held its 53rd graduation ceremony.
The ceremonies took place at UJ stadium and commenced with the entry of graduates and faculty members amidst a remarkable presence of the graduates' families and friends.
Upon reading their names, the graduating students marched triumphantly across the stadium to receive their degrees during the ceremony.
The total number of graduating students this year is 9537; 7770 are graduating in the Bachelor level programs, 272 in the Vocational Diploma level programs, 1052 in the Master's level programs, 424 in the PhD level programs, and 19 students in the Higher Diploma level programs. Further numbers display the quality of this year’s graduating body. 47 percent of graduating students this year earned GPAs of “Very Good” and “Excellent” and 14 percent of graduates this year were international students from over 44 countries.
