Students from 30 Nationalities Learn Arabic at UJ

 
 

The University of Jordan's (UJ) Language Centre held a cultural festival on Monday, November 5, for international students enlisted in Arabic Language Program for Non- Arabic speakers.
 
During the festival, which was attended by the University’s president Prof. Abdel karim Al Qudah, the students presented their country’s national dishes, sweets and drinks.
 
Al Qudah chatted with the students about their stay at the University and Jordan. He emphasized UJ’s interest in hosting students from different nationalities to enrich the campus life with different and diverse cultures.
 
For his part, the Director of the Language Centre Dr. Ziyad Gogazeh said that the festivity offers the opportunity for the students to communicate and exchange cultures. He added that the center established a series of programs that include cultural and intellectual activities and events to enable foreign students to be introduced to Jordan’s culture and history.
 
According to Gogazeh, the center received 270 students of thirty different nationalities to learn Arabic this year.
