Strategic Talk on "Innovation for Economic Empowerment of Women"

 

 
The Center for Women's Studies at the University of Jordan (UJ) in cooperation with ANA HUNNA International Network organized on Tuesday, November 13th, the first strategic talk entitled "Innovation for Economic Empowerment of Women".
 
Taking place at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, the strategic partner of ANA HUNNA International Network, the talk focused on reflecting on the best ways to improve women's employment and it impact on social stability worldwide.
 
Ambassadors of Norway and Sweden in Jordan took part in the event which brought together high profile figures representing local, regional and international institutions.
 
During the talk, the participants highlighted common challenges facing women in the MENA region and Europe, and key factors that contribute to improving women's participation in the national economy, pointing to strategies that would pave the way for women to support sustainable development goals, and find effective ways to mobilize support and advocacy for women.
 
The participants reviewed the most important challenges and the best ways to address them through the experiences of the participating countries, stressing the importance of building an effective strategic partnership between the participating institutions.
 
They also adopted the results of this dialogue as joint projects and collaborative programs that will help women participate more in the economic life of their countries.
 
It is noteworthy that the talk was held with the support and strategic partnership of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, Oxfam and Kvinna till Kvinna foundations.
