Second International and 12th Annual Conference of the School of Dentistry Held

 
 
The 2nd International & 12th Annual Conference of the School of Dentistry was held on Thursday, March 28, under the theme "The Impact of Scientific Research on Clinical Practice".
 
The 3-day conference brought together renowned clinicians, researchers and inventors from Jordan and abroad.
 
In his speech at the opening ceremony, UJ President Prof. AbdulKarim Al-Qudah, confirmed the importance of the subject of the conference. He also stressed that striving for progress and prosperity requires placing scientific research at the top of our priorities.
 
Dean of the School Prof. Ahmed Hamdan, said that this conference included advanced hands-on workshops to provide clinical practitioners with valuable knowledge that will enrich their skills as practitioners.
 
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Conference, Dr. Ibrahim Abu Tahun, said that the conference presented the best in dentistry through a scientific program that was run in two parallel sessions.
 
Abu Tahun added that it encompassed hands - on courses to train and upgrade generalists and specialists on using the most advanced procedures for safe and more predictable dental treatment.
 
International keynote speakers included Dr. Chaniotis Antonis from Greece, presenting a paper titled: "Management of Severe Curvatures and Complex Anatomy with Hyflex controlled memory files"; Dr. Nicholas D. Charles from USA and presented a paper titled: "Impression in Dentistry: Is it knowledge or art?"; Dr. Angelo Banzi from Italy with a paper on " Guided Surgery Technique ";  and Dr. Mohammad H. Nekoofar  from Iran who presented a paper titled: " Impact of Scientific research on clinical practice".
 
On the sideline of the event, Al-Qudah inaugurated an exhibition at the conference venue, where the School's partners from the dental industry displayed their latest dental products and materials.
