14th - 19th November,
2021, saw the graduation ceremonies' week of the 56th cohort of students at the
University of Jordan (UJ), taking into account COVID-19 safety standards and
protocols.
A total of 10,227 graduates from 15
Schools and centers marched across the university stadium to receive their
degrees during the last day of the ceremonies.
376 students from the School of
Medicine, 231 from the School of Dentistry, 582 doctoral students, 1,898
master's students and 16 Higher Diploma Program graduates were handed degrees
by UJ president Professor Nathir Obeidat in the last day of the ceremonies.
Graduation certificates were also
handed to the graduates of the Professional Diploma in Refugee and Forced
Migration Studies program.
In his address during the last day
of the ceremony, UJ President Professor Nathir Obeidat commended the graduating
students for their achievements and for allowing the university to be part of
their academic journey.
"It is your day and the day of
many who love you and who have a role in arriving at this moment.
Congratulations for standing today on the soil of the University of Jordan
while wearing its most graceful outfit," he told the graduates.
