UJ Professor Publishes in World's Highest-Impact Medical Journal

The University of Jordan (UJ) Professor of Nuclear Radiology at the School of Medicine, Malik Juweid, has  published an innovative scientific review in CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians—the most prestigious medical journal globally, boasting an impact factor of 521.6.

The review, titled “Beyond Fluorodeoxyglucose: Molecular Imaging of Cancer in Precision Medicine," explores developments in molecular imaging and their transformative role in enhancing cancer diagnosis and treatment. The study outlines the shift from conventional imaging methods to highly personalized approaches, reflecting the growing role of precision medicine in oncology.

The work was produced in collaboration with an international team of experts from the University of Jordan, American University of Beirut, Research institutions in France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

With over 150 scientific publications and more than 11,300 citations, Juweid is a leading scholar in radiology and cancer imaging. He holds an h-index of 40 (Scopus) and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Jordan Medical Journal, Member of UJ's Bibliometric Research Group
