UJ Unveils Alumni Website and “Khareej” Platform to Reunite Its Global Alumni Family

For generations, the University of Jordan (UJ) has been more than just an institution of learning; it's been a developmental experience, a place where lifelong bonds are formed. Embracing the digital age to ensure those bonds sustain and flourish, the university has proudly revealed its official Alumni Website and the innovative “Khareej" platform, two dynamic initiatives designed to make its global alumni network closer than ever.

"I address you today with immense joy, pride, and delight... speaking from the heart of the university, with no borders or distances separating us," stated University President Prof. Nathir Obeidat in a heartfelt welcome message.

The Alumni Website, developed by the International Program, Alumni and Marketing Unit in collaboration with the Website Department at the Information Technology Center, is intended to serve as a central hub, featuring inspiring success stories from alumni, insightful monthly interviews with distinguished graduates sharing their wisdom, and the latest university news.

Furthermore, the site includes a dedicated page for the University's Gift Shop, allowing alumni to purchase memorabilia, and provides access to the "Alumni Card," which grants graduates various benefits and discounts.

But the innovation doesn't stop there. Alongside the website, UJ introduces “Khareej" (meaning "graduate" in Arabic), a dedicated digital platform designed to be the nexus for professional and social networking. A space where alumni can craft personal profiles, discover and participate in university events, and even find job opportunities perfectly tailored to their expertise. It's a modern toolkit for a timeless need: connection and mutual support.

Prof. Obeidat's message paints a bright picture of the enduring impact of UJ graduates. He greeted the graduates as a "vast family" and underscored the immense pride the university takes in their achievements and contributions worldwide.

"You remain in the heart of this university," Prof. Obeidat stated, highlighting the enduring bond and the values instilled during their time at UJ.

He warmly encouraged all alumni to register and actively utilize these new platforms, empowering them to reconnect with their alma mater, network with peers, and continue their legacy of excellence.

These platforms are more than just digital tools; they are a testament to UJ's ongoing commitment to its "vast family." They represent a bridge not only across geographical distances but also across generations, allowing current students to draw inspiration from those who came before them, and alumni to feel an active part of UJ's journey toward global excellence.

As Prof. Obeidat urged, "Among you are those who have reached the heights of creativity with their knowledge... I urge never to limit your aspirations or potential. You are capable of achieving greatness."
