King Decorates CSS, Professor Abbadi on Independence Day

 
 
The University of Jordan (UJ) Center for Strategic Studies , and Prof. Abdullah Oweidi Abbadi, Cell Therapy Center Director, were honored by His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday, May 24, on the occasion of Jordan’s 72nd Independence Day.
 
Prof. Abdullah Oweidi Abbadi was decorated the Order of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein for Excellence of the First Class for his distinguished efforts and excellence in medicine and for introducing bone marrow transplant to Jordan and the Arab region.
 
Whereas the Centre for Strategic Studies was awarded the Order of Independence of the First Class for the institution’s role in conducting studies and research papers on extensive  strategic topics.
 
The Center was also ranked the top think tank in the Middle East and North Africa two years in a row on the Global Go To Think Tank Index Report released by the University of Pennsylvania in the US.
 
This came during the official national celebration marking Jordan’s 72nd Independence Day which was attended by His Majesty King Abdullah with Her Majesty Queen Rania and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein.
 
Jordan won its full independence from the British mandate and was declared a Kingdom on May 25, 1946.
